Our Story...

Founded in 1999 by Billy D’Eliaand family, when they decided to relocate from Brooklyn, New York to Mt. Pleasant, SC. They quickly discovered that the area lacked a quality full-service butcher shop and relying on the elder D’Elia’s previous trade created the first New York Butcher Shoppe.

Business partners Jim Tindal and Todd Prochaska looking for an opportunity fell in love with the NY Butcher Shoppe concept. As repeat customers, they quickly realized the opportunity that NY Butcher Shoppe offered and decided to became franchisees by acquiring the franchise rights in the Greenville, SC area. They quickly and successfully opened 3 stores and in 2006 decided to buy out the brand and relocate the headquarters to Greenville. Since that time, The New York Butcher Shoppe has grown in popularity with customers and now the Brand is expanding throughout the Southeast and beyond.
